Things we like in paros
Before Building Villa Orian and buying Maylola we have spent a few years visiting the island of Paros. It took us some time to find the perfect match of a land with breathtaking view away from the crowd but still not hard to access and big enough to accommodate a pool and large living spaces for Villa Orian and a dream spot just 50 meters from the beach of Naousa for Maylola.
While doing so we discovered the island of Paros and its lovely habitants. Here is a list of places we visit on every occasion when on the island. Most of them became friends that we love to share. Im sure some of them will become your friends as well.
Ela Paros, Parikia

Who is Ela? Ela is us. A group of friends, living in Paros, bringing to the island our vision of great food, wine and music. At our restaurant, located in Parikia’s main square, we will pour you a glass selected from our wine list, serve you a refreshing cocktail, and give you a taste of our chef’s selected dishes that consist of fresh local products with his own twist. Ela is open every day for lunch from 12:00-16:00, for drinks and bites from 16:00-19:00, and for dinner from 19:00-23:00

Captain Pipinos Anti Paros

Captain Pipinos is a landmark on the Island of antiparos.
The place is a family business like most of the restaurants in Paros, the father has the fishing task and the sun runs the place.
The drive to antiparos by it self is part of the fun, taking the 9min ride on the ferry in this blue lagoon passing the island of the actor Tom Hanks and then driving along the sea to the southern part of the island to Captain pipinos (about 25min from the port of Punta) the ferry leaves every 30min.
the view is absolutely beautiful and the freshness of the baby squids is unbelievable.call to reserve please.
KouKoutsi Bar Prikia
This bar is a great place to hang out at night and have alcohol with friends and the locals.

Nautic school cafe

The Nautic school in parikia has a caffe on the beach facing the bay of Parikia. I love sitting there and watch the sailboats dancing on the clear blue sea. nice to be there at sunset.

Modern Greek cuisine great coffee and a nice bar on the first floor, facing the marina of naousa. fisherman are always working on their boats preparing for the next sail.
It is my favorite coffee on the Island.

Kostos Village
This typical greek village 3 min from Villa Orian with its beautiful church is always nice to visit

In this coffee in the center of the old village of Kostos you will find a typical greek coffee with the wooden chairs next to the church and some locals playing backgammon. the music in the background is of the Cicadas.
The best dessert on the island

A small bakery specializing in loukoumades, a type of Greek doughnut with chocolate

Fresh fish on the island is supplied to all of the stores by the same company. we choose this store because of its nice owner and the cleaness of the shop.
there are many more in Parikia
and early in the morning on the port of naousa directly from the fisherman (price will be a bit higher)
Best meat store Naousa
The local butcher in naousa will have great lamb and meat balls always clean and fair prices.
in general beef is not the meat to buy in Paros.

Museum of Parikia Panagia Ekatondapiliani

As most of the museums outside Athens, the Archaeological Museum of Paros is small but its collection is wonderful and deserves to be seen. The sculptures and objects on display come from the excavations on the island of Paros and the nearby islands of Antiparos and Despotiko and some of them are wonders of art.

they select furnitures accessories and garden furnitures but also manufacture as well.they have great taste it is run as a family business like most of them in Paros

Felix toys store would be found normally is a big city like Paris or London, it has a huge selection of quality toys, its a dream for all kids.

Monastiri Beach
Monastiri Beach, is on a beautiful bay, the kids will love it
the parents can relax all day on the sunbeds and eat from the restaurant on the beach, some water sports activity for rent.getting there by boat is fun from the marina of Naousa
by car it is a 15 min drive from Naousa.
Golden Beach
Great place to go with a family, lots of activities like windsurfing, kayaks and a boat for wakeboarding and all other towed activities. Good restaurants on the beach, beach volleyball, lots of place for kids to run around.
Kolymbithres Beach
With its beautiful rock formations and the crystal clear water it was just beautiful. A great place to spend a day.
